Larry Nowell is a wood
carver known for his sculptured portraits in wood. Larry is an
avid carver who loves teaching others the art of wood carving almost
as much as he enjoys the art of wood carving. A native of Alabama, he now resides in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Larry accepts commissions for his portraits sculptured in wood and
sells his work at public shows. He teaches basic wood carving
at the University of Tennessee. By invitation he gives carving
classes through out the eastern part of the United States.
Woodcarvers can also arrange private lessons in Larry's work shop in
