Purchase Sculptured Portraits in Wood Want a special gift for someone? You can purchase a sculptured portrait in wood that will become a cherished family heirloom. These portraits are one of a kind, made to order, based on the photograph you provide to the artist--Larry Nowell. Larry carves the portrait in 8" x 10" x 2" high quality northern Bass wood. Bass wood is light in color and has less pronounced wood grain than many other woods. The portrait is finished with just the right touch of color and sealed with a finish to protect the carving. Shown below are two examples of these sculptured portrait carvings. When you order a portrait carving you must provide a photograph of the person. Preferably the subject will be looking directly into the camera. Small snapshots are not suitable because they cannot be enlarged to 8" x 10" size. Digital images are preferred and can be sent directly to the artist at LarryNowell@GMail.com. Otherwise you must mail the photograph to Larry Nowell, 9914 Carrington Drive, Knoxville, TN 37923.
